We see birth as a physiologically natural ability, which our bodies were created for, and we also affirm and support the emotional changes and needs of a woman during this time.
We see our role as your Doula to stand beside you and your husband to achieve the birth you both desire. Yes, through education you will be prepared to understand the natural process your body goes through during labor and delivery. At Penang Doulas we are here to assist you every step of the way, so that birthing will be a precious lifetime memory of holding your beautiful newborn in your arms.
We will remain with you throughout your pregnancy, entire labor and birth, and stay afterwards to assist with bonding and assure you are comfortable with breastfeeding.
We will spend time getting to know you, prior to your birth, and coach you in developing an individual birth plan for your special day, discussing options and making informed decisions. We will give you full emotional and physical support, encouraging you through the birth, and using techniques such as essential oils, massage, etc.
We will meet your partner so that he can be educated, and participate at his own comfort level, to make this process a celebration of your love together.
